Fireworks And Independence Day Celebrations in Surrounding Areas
This weekend there are several Fourth of July celebrations going on in the surrounding areas of Texarkana. Here is a list of what we know is going on.
Ashdown, AR - The Second Annual Food, Fun And More on July Four on Tuesday July 4. Starts at 4PM at the Ashdown City Park located at 1211 Gordon Drive. Bring the kids for a ton of free fun activities including free bounce houses, face painting and a dunking booth. Fireworks display will take place after dark. Atlanta, Texas - SummerFest and Fireworks Monday, July 3 at 606 South Louise Street. According to the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page, There will be live music, food vendors, arts and crafts and more. The fun begins at 5:30PM and will go til around 10PM.
De Kalb, Texas - Fireworks in the Park, Saturday, July 1 at De Kalb Industrial Park. It all starts at 5PM with activities for kids and at 6:30PM The Chad Suttles Band will perform. Ending the evening with fireworks.
Fouke, AR - God and Country Day Celebration on Tuesday, July 4 at River of Life Worship Center located at 1405 MC. Starts at 6PM with food being served at 7PM the God and Country program followed by fireworks over the lake at 9PM. Call (870) 653-2839 for more information.
Hooks, Texas - Hooks Annual 4th Celebrations Friday, June 30 at First Baptist Church located at 210 Wilder Drive in Hooks. There will be bounce houses for the kids and fireworks. For more information call (903) 547-6111.
Hope, AR. - The 10th Annual Spirit of Hope 4th of July Celebration is Tuesday, July 4 at the Hope United Methodist Church located at 2300 S. Main Street. According to the Hempstead Herald. The grounds open at 6PM and activities for the kids start at 7PM including a bicycle parade. There will be live entertainment with fireworks starting around 9:30PM.
Nashville, AR. - 28th Annual Stand-Up for America Celebration at the Nashville City Park located at 1301 W Johnson Street Saturday, July 1. Gates will open at 5PM with live entertainment starting at 5:30PM. Barrett Baber from the ‘Voice’ will take the stage at 7:30PM. Fireworks at 9:30PM. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12 of age. Children 5 and under are free.
New Boston, Texas - It's the Freedom Fest in downtown New Boston. Tuesday July 4. The Boy Scouts will be grilling burgers. Enjoy live music starting at 6PM with Dale Cummings. Fireworks start at 9PM.
