Flashback: Beatles Record ‘From Me To You’ [VIDEO]

It was on this date (March 5th, 1963) that the Beatles recorded 'From Me To You'.  That's 49 years ago.  The song was recorded during a single session at Abbey Road Studios and would be featured on the band's British debut album 'Please Please Me'.  The same day the band posed for the cover photo of the album.

The song topped the charts in England, but when it was released in the U.S., it hit Number 116 on the charts.  Almost a year later, the world would know who the Beatles were as they appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show in February of 1964.  The rest, as they say, is Rock & Roll history.  Check out a live performance of 'From Me To You' on its 49th anniversary:
