Speaking as someone who has a parent living with dementia (my Mom), I was blown away by the courage Glen Campbell and his wife Kim showed in their first public interview since Glen was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Dementia is not only one of the worst things that can happen to a person, it's also an incredibly difficult experience for family and loved ones. It's a very helpless feeling to watch someone you love slowly slipping away from you as the disease progresses.

Glen's wife Kim is a courageous woman, who is obviously completely dedicated to the happiness of her husband and her family. It shows in the interview as she gently helps him remember small details. Glen Campbell is about to release what will probably be his final album, 'Ghost On The Canvas' (August 30th). His musical ability and his voice are, so far, undiminished. He will tour the album across the country over the next several months, with his entire family a part of the journey. The band features three of Glen's children.  Watch the interview, and if you get a chance, see the tour: (via HollywoodReporter.com)
