On November 2nd the Center for Disease Control approved a COVID-19 vaccine that can be administered to children age 5 to 11 years old. The specific vaccine that is being recommended by the CDC, is the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine.

The CDC says that this will expand vaccination to about 28 million children in the United States. Providers can begin vaccinating children as soon they receive the vaccine and the information for applying the vaccine.
