Decorate Your House With Lights
Make sure Santa and his reindeer notice your home. House decorations can be extreme or stay simple and elegant.
Sing Christmas Carols
Nothing taps into the Christmas spirit like caroling. Grab a few friends for a group sing-a-long.
Wear an Ugly Sweater
This is pretty much the only time of year you can get away with it. The uglier the better.
Decorate the Tree
This was always a special time for my family. We made a whole evening out of it. Break out the eggnog and ornaments, and make memories.
Bake Christmas Cookies
The holidays go better with cookies. There are plenty of recipes out there that will surely please.
Write a Letter to Santa
Do you have your Christmas list ready to go? Drop Santa a line and let him know.
Make a Gingerbread House
A great family activity. Fun to build and delicious to eat.
Exchange Gifts
Perhaps one of the holiday's most common traditions. Whether it's gag gifts at a company party or a more meaningful exchange at home with family, gifts have been a part of Christmas for a long time.
Spend Time With Family
Another important tradition on my list. Spending time with and letting those close to you know how much they mean at Christmastime is very special indeed.
Watch Christmas Movies
You can't go wrong with movies during the holidays and there are some good Christmas choices out there. Elf remains popular as do classics like Miracle on 34th Street.
Traditions are a special way of celebrating the Christmas season. Whether it's one of the more common suggestions above, or something more unique and private, set aside some time with the ones you care about and take part in a tradition.
