Is Charlie Sheen Getting A New Sitcom?

Charlie Sheen just might be getting a new sitcom on a major network according to TMZ.  The rumor has it that the show will be written totally around Charlie's character, and that they won't even do a pilot episode. That means it would go right into production and on the air.

Apparently things are still in the talking and negotiating phase, with Charlie aiming for a 'big offer' to get it done. The show could debut early next year if things keep moving along well. There is no word on supporting actors or cast at this time.

Do you think the show would be a hit solely due to all the publicity surrounding Charlie? I would think that, initially at least, it would pull some pretty big ratings out of sheer curiosity factor. (via TMZ.com)
