Join Abilene Police for National Night Out on October 7
Every year, cities across the Lone Star State and the United States for that matter, come together for Abilene National Night Out (ANNO), an evening dedicated to building stronger bonds between our local law enforcement and the community. It’s all about neighbors meeting neighbors, families enjoying time together, and officers getting a chance to connect with the people they serve in a fun, relaxed setting.

Abilene Celebrates National Night Out: When and Where in Abilene
This year’s Abilene celebration takes place on Tuesday, October 7, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Abilene Police Department, 4565 South First Street. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
Food, Music, and Family Fun
United Supermarket Store #548 will provide free food and drinks, making it easy for families to grab a bite while enjoying the evening. Kids can bounce away their energy in inflatable play areas, get creative with face painting from the Abilene Public Library, or cool off with a sweet treat from the Lone Bull Ice Cone Truck, for purchase of course.
Potosi Live is bringing 'Cash and the Change' to perform live, setting the feel and the vibe for the evening, giving the whole event a fun, festival-like atmosphere.
Meet Abilene’s First Responders Up Close
This is more than just a block party, it’s also a chance to see the tools and talent that keep our community safe. Attendees can check out displays from the APD Bomb Squad, K9 Unit, Motor Officers, Bearcat, and Drone Team. The Abilene Fire Department will also be on site, giving families the chance to connect with firefighters and learn more about what they do.
Why You Should Go
Events like National Night Out highlight the best of Abilene: neighbors supporting each other, kids having fun, and officers showing their appreciation for the community. It’s a night of smiles, music, food, and friendship, one you won’t want to miss.
So grab the kids, bring your appetite, and come celebrate with your neighbors and local heroes on October 7 at the Abilene Police Department.
