Halloween candy, smiling families, and the chance to meet our hometown heroes—that’s my kind of evening in Abilene!

Why, I’ve been supporting and broadcasting live from the Abilene Police Department’s annual Trunk or Treat event for years. I’ve honestly lost count, but I haven’t lost my excitement for this incredibly awesome family tradition. I’ll be back again this year, and I hope you’ll be there to join me too.

When and Where Is Abilene’s Trunk or Treat?

Mark your calendar for Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. The fun happens at the Abilene Police Department, at 4565 South 1st Street.

There will be more than 30 trunks handing out candy, with local businesses joining our first responders to help make the evening special. Bring the kids, their candy bags, and those Halloween costumes!

Meet the People Who Care for Our Community

Abilene police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics will be there. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to meet the people who answer the call when our community needs help.

Say hello, take pictures, and give these hardworking men and women a heartfelt thank-you. Getting to know them face to face is part of what makes this event mean so much to me.

The Abilene Police Department takes pride in hosting this gathering each year, and that love for our community deserves our support.

Let’s Make This the Biggest One Yet

I’d love to see this grow into the biggest Halloween family gathering in the Big Country. We can help by inviting our neighbors, telling our friends, and showing up together.

For me, it’s about watching our community come together and giving children happy memories of the people who serve them.

Come see me while I’m broadcasting live, meet our first responders, and enjoy a spooky, fun evening. Let’s make Trunk or Treat 2026 one to remember!
