This year's theme for the eighth annual Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Day 2024 is, "Nurturing Dreams and Growing Futures!" This is an awesome event for all small business owners or those who want to own their own business.

The annual event celebrates the impact that small business has on Texas and our communities. Texas is fortunate to have the SBDC in so many cities across the Lone Star State because if you're a small business person they can provide invaluable support, guidance, and resources to help nurture and grow your business.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 20th, 2024 as our local SBDC will gather all the resources available to assist anyone who wants to start and own their own business. Have you ever wanted to start your own business, but you're unsure of where to begin, who to turn to, who to trust, and where to get investment funds?

Here in Abilene, we are very fortunate to have the Texas Tech Small Business Development Center here in West Texas along with the Development Corporation of Abilene (DCOA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) to help plan, fund, and start your new business.

That's three separate entities state, local, and federal helping our Abilene SBDC. That means if you need help, or want to learn more about how to put your business plan together, you need to visit the SBDC. To better introduce you to what the SBDC is and does, you are invited to their "In-Office Meet and Greet" during the 8th Annual National SBDC Day.

All small business owners, entrepreneurs, or anyone wishing to start a business are invited. For more information call (325) 670-0300. Finger foods and refreshments will be made available, so come hungry to learn how to better your business or start one.

The 8th annual SBDC Day is Wednesday, March 20th, from 8 AM until 9:30 AM at the SBDC at 749 Gateway Street In Abilene. We'll see you there.
