Gun and Blade Shows Seem to be Getting Bigger With More Variety
As the Silver Spur Gun and Blade Show returns to Abilene on December 3rd and 4th, it will be once again going back inside the Taylor County Coliseum. While it has been a "once-a-year in the coliseum event" the show's promoters Kim and Monty Sansom explained to me at the last show that "we've outgrown the Display Building, and anticipate bringing in bigger shows and will make the coliseum our home in Abilene."
Kim went on to say, "the last several shows since we started coming to the coliseum have been very successful for all our vendors, and we believe that Abilene and West Texas are ready and wanting the bigger shows. Yes, we have doubled the number of vendors with more than a hundred at the last show and we anticipate the growth to continue at this show as well."
One such vendor TNG Sales sells nothing but magazines and clips for firearms, Monty Sansom brings in more and a bigger variety of ammo, as I was able to purchase some hard-to-find ammo from him at the last show (so if you've got a hard to shop for rifle Monty is the guy to see). Plus, there are all sorts of concealed-carry purses, holsters for ladies, concealed-carry wallets for men, home decor, jewelry, gold and silver coins, and collectibles.

The show will be in the Taylor County Coliseum, 1700 HWY 36 Abilene.
If you're a hunter or an outdoor person you'll find deer rifles, bird-hunting shotguns, camping supplies, and all kinds of survival gear.
The Shows promoter Kim Sansom says "I love the Abilene show because West Texans are very friendly and the best part is, we have filled every table for the Abilene show."
