The Abilene Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is holding a hybrid training event that may be of interest to you or someone you do business with. It's titled "Cybersecurity for Small Business" and will be based on learning the basic fundamentals of how to protect yourself and your business with cybersecurity.

More and more everyday small mom-and-pop businesses are being attacked and scammed on the internet and as we rely more and more on the internet and social media to promote our business, it's extremely important that we all brush up on our cybersecurity knowledge.

This "Cybersecurity for Small Business: The Fundamentals" workshop is intended to share the "how to's" of cybersecurity as recommended by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). You, your team, your company, or your community groups will learn the steps for understanding cybersecurity risks and how to alleviate or delete them completely.

Furthermore, the best part is that this Cybersecurity for Small Businesses workshop can be attended by anyone and can be done from the comfort of your office on your own computer. This informative and highly educational seminar will be conducted via a zoom meeting. Once you have registered you will get a direct link to connect to the Cybersecurity for Small Business workshop.

One must sign up quickly as the workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28th, 2023, and will begin at 5:30 PM. If you would rather attend the Cybersecurity for Small Business workshop in person the Small Business Development Center is located at 749 Gateway Street, suite 301, building C in southeast Abilene.
