I use AI almost every day. It helps me research stories, gather and organize information, polish my writing and punctuation, and save countless hours. As someone born with one arm who still types with one finger, I can tell you it's been one of the biggest productivity tools I've ever used.

Interestingly, my wife is not a fan of AI, and I love it! The truth is, AI and automation have already become part of our modern world, sometimes without us even realizing it. From banking and customer service systems to the technology we use on our phones, in our vehicles, and even in healthcare, technology is constantly changing the way we live and work.

So, enjoy AI and take advantage of what it can do for you. Just remember to use a little common sense and keep these 10 things to yourself. Because, like you wouldn't hand a stranger your wallet, there are some things you should never type into any AI chatbot.

What AI Is Great For

AI can be an incredible tool when used wisely. I use it to help organize ideas, improve my writing, proofread articles, brainstorm headlines, summarize information, and answer everyday questions.

It's also great for meal planning, travel ideas, recipes, budgeting, learning new skills, planning projects, and researching topics.

A Simple Rule To Remember

Whenever you're using an AI chatbot, ask yourself one simple question:

Would I feel comfortable sharing this information publicly?

If the answer is no, don't type it.

My Take

Artificial intelligence isn't something to fear, it's a tool. Like your computer, smartphone, or email, it's most helpful when you use it wisely.

I've found AI to be an incredible assistant that helps me work smarter and faster, but I still believe common sense is the best tool we all have.

When in doubt, leave it out. Protect your personal information, use AI responsibly, and let technology help make life a little easier, not more complicated.
