Health care is improving for veterans in Abilene Texas as a new Community Based Outpatient Clinic is set to break ground later this month.

As most Americans should and do, I have a heavy heart for our veterans who laid their lives on the line for us. My wife and several of my family members have served and I know what they go through to get the care they need and deserve.

New Facility In Abilene For Veterans

West Texas VA Health Care System (WTVAHCS) will host a ceremony later this month to break ground for the new facility which will expand access to high-quality health care for Veterans as the honor and serve those who have served our great nation.

This event is a major step towards improving healthcare access and delivery for veterans in Abilene and surrounding areas. It will give the VA the tools and methods to provide primary care, mental health services, and specialty care closer to where many veterans live and work.

Groundbreaking Ceremony

On Monday, January 27th at NOON, a groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility will take place at 5602 Health Center Drive in Abilene. There will be guest speakers, local elected officials, community leaders, and veterans and their families in attendance.
