Abilene Veteran and Senior Resource Fair Will Connect Hundreds With Life-Changing Help
There are few things more important for folks in Texas than making sure our veterans and seniors know they don't have to face life's challenges alone. Whether it's finding VA benefits, healthcare, financial assistance, or simply connecting with the right people, help is available, and that's exactly what the Grit's Veteran & Senior Resource Fair is all about.
Free Resources, Support, and Community
On Thursday, August 20, more than 80 organizations will gather at the Taylor County Coliseum from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to provide free resources for veterans, seniors, caregivers, active-duty military members, and their families in Texas.

Attendees can learn about veteran benefits, employment opportunities, education, financial assistance, mental health resources, caregiver support, transportation services, and health screenings. There will also be featured speakers, free veteran haircuts, patriotic headshots, military displays, refreshments, and more.
Interview With Branson Hurt

I recently sat down with Branson Hurt from Grit's Veteran & Senior Resources, and one thing really stood out: this event is about connecting people with services that can truly improve their quality of life.

Supporting Those Who Served
I've always believed we owe our veterans more than just a handshake and a "thank you." We owe them access to the resources they've earned. The same goes for our seniors, who helped build the communities we enjoy today.
If you know a veteran, senior, or caregiver who could benefit from this event, please share it with them. Sometimes the biggest difference we can make is helping someone find the support they didn't know was available.
The event is free and open to everyone, and it just might change someone's life.
