As Texas comes out of its Halloween candy coma, it's time to think about another holiday where we stuff our faces: Thanksgiving. But while folks try to find the perfect turkey to roast, and prepare the rest of the feast, you must have something to wash it all down with.

Thanksgiving is a time to be with family and friends, reflect on what we are thankful for, watch football, and stuff our faces with a giant feast. In the process of all of that, one might like to partake in some liquid libations.

Here are ten cocktail recipes I think you'll be thankful for.

 A Southern Thanksgiving

  • 3 oz Southern Comfort peach liqueur
  • 1 oz Wild Turkey bourbon whiskey
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
  • 1/2-1 oz lime juice

You can't have Thanksgiving without some turkey, or in this case, Wild Turkey. First, mix some Wild Turkey and Southern Comfort together in a shaker. Then add cranberry juice and a splash of lime juice. If you feel fancy, add a garnish of apple or lime and serve on ice.
