If you're not following LBK Scanner Squad on Facebook, you are missing out on very up-to-date information that could be quite useful to you. I check it frequently for things like wrecks that could affect my commute, and for even more important matters like pure chisme.

First, What Is LBK Scanner Squad?

A group of volunteers who listen to publicly accessible law enforcement channels. They will post approximate addresses and a short summary of the call. Sometimes, community members will supplement a post with pictures (like in the case of wrecks) or additional information if they have it. LBK Scanner Squad is quite adept at protecting privacy and does not disclose too much identifying information about the subjects of the calls.

Some Of The Most Interesting/Unusual/ Funny  Calls This Week

disturbance involving aggressive grandchild refusing to leave
I have an 84-year-old grandma who's healthy as a mule, so this grandchild is almost certainly an adult (or at least a physically intimidating minor). However, it's much more fun to imagine it's a very aggressive 4-year-old.
male walking down the road banging on dumpsters
Hey dude, knock it off.
reckless driver. Motorhome pulling two motorhomes behind him
Motorhome inception?
male wearing a thong and is covered in paint
This seems more like a personal choice than a reason to call emergency services. As you can imagine, there were many comments on this post but my favorite was, "Maybe he's trying to avoid pesky tan lines."
12 and 7 year olds being aggressive, won’t give their phones back, acting out
This would have been handled very differently by my parents, and that's all I'm going to say about that (sfx: belt snap). Many people reasonably suggested cancelling the phone lines.
Officer had a hot mic while letting kids play with lights and sirens
Okay, this one is just wholesome
Of course, many of the calls were much more serious than these ones that I mentioned- fires, collisions, burglaries-in-progress, mental health breaks, and far too many domestic calls. So I do want to take a moment to thank the first respoders that helped all the folks who needed it this past week.
