Two women have been arrested after a drone disguised as a crow was used to drop off contraband.

If you want a fun little rabbit hole, some people believe that all birds are robots. For one of those people that believe in that conspiracy theory, they're going to point to this and say, "I KNEW IT!" Melanie Jean Worthington of Joshua,Texas and Kassy Marie Cole of Hurst, Texas tried to fly this thing into a federal facility in Louisiana.

I actually appreciate the effort these ladies put in to actually attach a fake bird to real drone in an attempt to make it look real. The ladies claim they were paid $40,000 to sneak cell phones, tobacco, marijuana, and methamphetamine into the prison. The plan obviously did not work and they're both facing several charges.

Worthington faces charges of taking contraband into a penal institution and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana with the intent to distribute.

Cole was charged with taking contraband into a penal institution and possession of methamphetamine and synthetic marijuana with the intent to distribute. Authorities noted Cole also had an outstanding warrant at the time of her arrest. You can read more on their arrest here.

I imagine working at a prison you never know what you're going to see on a daily basis. A robot crow dropping methamphetamine is hopefully a first on the job.
