Wichita Falls Nail Salon Has Responded to One Million Dollar Lawsuit
A Wichita Falls woman is suing a local nail salon after she claims a pedicure forced her to get her leg amputated due to an infection.
It was just over a month ago that we found out Sandra Davis is suing Pro Nails here in Wichita Falls. If you missed our original story, here is the condensed version. Mrs. Davis went into Pro Nails back in 2024. She recently had a medical procedure where she had a hangnail removed from one of her toes. She didn't think it was an issue getting a pedicure after having that done.
Wichita Falls Woman Says Pedicure Lead to Gangrene and Gout
She says after leaving the nail salon she was in intense pain, but did not get it checked out until a month later. Doctors says her foot was infected with gangrene and gout. They had to amputate her left leg from the knee down. Mrs. Davis claims even with her hangnail procedure, Pro Nails did not use proper sanitation during the pedicure.
Pro Nails Lawyer Releases Statement on One Million Dollar Lawsuit
According to court documents, obtained by KFDX, Pro Nails is denying every allegation made against them. Pro Nails alleged that the woman suing them “failed to exercise that degree of care and caution which would have been exercised by persons of ordinary prudence,” adding that the actions or lack thereof by the plaintiff were the cause of any damages suffered. “The acts and omissions of Plaintiff were the sole proximate cause, or in the alternative, a proximate cause of any damages sustained,” the civil lawsuit said.
We will wait and see what happens as this case moves forward.
