
Violent Gang Member on Texas’ Most Wanted List Finally Captured
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced that a fugitive on Texas 10 Most Wanted list has been arrested thanks to an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip. The fugitive belongs to the Bloods gang and was considered armed and dangerous.

25-year-old Elijah Turner Reyes had been wanted for murder out of El Paso since May 2025, DPS' release states. Additional warrants for his arrest were issued for failing to appear in court for prior charges of burglary, possession of a controlled substance, and assaulting a pregnant woman.
Reyes was also sentenced to five years in prison for aggravated robbery back in 2019, and he is a known member of the Piru gang—a faction of the Bloods. Keep scrolling to learn more about this organization.
On February 19, 2026, Reyes was found hiding in an apartment in Tijuana, Mexico, where he was arrested and sent back to the U.S. to be turned over to American authorities.
Authorities discovered Reyes thanks to an anonymous tipster through the Texas Crime Stoppers hotline. Therefore, the cash reward of up to $7,500 will be paid.
What is the Piru Gang?
Reyes was affiliated with the Piru gang which is an offshoot of the larger Bloods gang alliance formed in Compton, California, back in the late 1960s.
Common activities found among this organization include drug distribution, intimidation, and destructive violence that often leads to assault and/or murder.
In fact, a leader of one of their factions was sentenced to life in prison back in 2019 for murder, racketeering, and conspiring to distribute crack cocaine and heroin.
