Rallies and protests have become a bit more of a thing in Amarillo since the first No Kings protest. We've seen two of the No Kings protests so far, a rally to save the Panhandle Plains Historic Museum, and several other gatherings have taken place.

Protests and rallies are definitely a part of American life. Freedom of speech in its truest form. Any type of peaceful gathering is always welcomed, even when there are those who complain about them. Remember, you can't make everyone happy.

The Latest No Kings Rally

Many people have been asking when there would be another No Kings rally in Amarillo. I've seen several posts on Reddit asking about it over the last couple of months, so it seems there is still a demand to have this particular protest.

Well, followers of it will be happy to know there is another officially scheduled in Amarillo. It'll happen on March 28th, from 10 am to 2 pm. This one will be held at Centennial Plaza at 401 S. Buchanan St.

What Is No Kings

It's essentially a grassroots organization that formed in opposition to some of President Trump's policies and things he's looking to change. Concerns about his policies regarding things such as immigration, civil rights, and healthcare have been at the forefront of these protests.

The group believes that his acts and the way he governs come off as authoritarian, and the protests are a direct reflection of their opposition to these things. The No Kings protests have all been peaceful and have not created any issues, and we expect this one will be the same.
