From overhyped products to controversial actions, for a few years there, everybody knew who Vince Offer, (real name Vince Shlomi), was.

He's back in action now and still trying to get into your wallet. Only this time he's not hustlin' shammy's, he's looking to fund his bid to become a Texas Congressman.

I think Offer practically invented the overhyped, in your face, "isn't this the most amazing piece of crap that you don't really need" form of TV advertising. It seemed like that damn ad ran every 20 minutes ...

In addition to his commercials, he also got on tv following an altercation with a "working girl".

In 2009, he was charged with felony aggravated battery for popping a prostitute in the head after she allegedly got his tongue into her mouth and wouldn't let it go. She was also charged with the same thing.

1st world problems, right? (Prosecutors ultimately decided not to go after either one of them.)

Granted, this could be a joke but he's running for a seat in Texas' 31st Congressional District on an "anti-woke" platform, promising to "make America happy."

Happier, I hope , than his "date" made him.
