It's been a long time since the Little River Band toured North America. In fact, I don't remember ever having the chance to see one of their shows.

But the Australian band is mounting a huge 41-date tour of the states which begins on May 14th, and includes four shows right here in Texas. The Little River Band was unstoppable from the mid-70s through the early 80s, with a string of big radio hits. 'Cool Change', 'Help Is On Its Way', 'Reminiscing', 'Lonesome Loser', 'Lady', and 'The Night Owls' all received massive radio play. The band had 13 top 40 hits between 1976 and 1983. Their vocal harmonies are some of the best in the business. Here are the Texas dates:

May 21 - Richardson, TX - Wildflower! Festival at Galatyn Park
July 29 - Winnie, TX - Nutty Jerry's Winnie Arena
October 20 - Beaumont, TX - Julie Rogers Theatre
October 21 - Austin, TX - One World Theatre

Here's a great example of what the band can do live. The cool thing about this particular video is it begins with the band singing acapella harmony in a home studio, and then cuts to a live performance. Awesome stuff. Enjoy!:
