I guess it's no surprise. Men spend about twice as much on Valentine's day as women do. It's traditional, and it's probably justified in my opinion.

The Valentine's occasion is a created one, and it definitely gets in our pockets, both male and female. According to the National Retail foundation, guys will spend an average of just over $150, while the girls drop a little north of $75.
