What's more brutal than your favorite metal albums? Your favorite metal albums -- with googly eyes.

Nothing is as soulless and dark as a pair of googly eyes affixed to the front of your favorite metal albums. This Tumblr that's dedicated to that very idea has just been discovered and has already given the googly eye treatment to some very iconic albums and bands.

Did you ever think that Iron Maiden's 'Number of the Beast' was missing something? Googly eyes, of course. And Dio's 'Holy Diver' could definitely use a "Holy Derper" treatment. There's just a ton of fun stuff in the Tumblr and we've listed some of the best examples of googly eyes being stuck on metal albums below.

What's the impetus for creating such magical works of art? Well, as the owner of the Tumblr says: "I have way too much spare time on my hands." We'll take it. There are only about four pages of googly-eyed albums as of this writing, but we expect that to grow over time, washing over the blackened landscape of metal and becoming something totally epic.

For now, you can review all of the albums below and start getting inspired for your own googly-eyed album collection. Why stick to metal? If you're eclectic, the possibilities are endless! You know you've always wanted to give googly eyes to Janine Lindemulder on the cover of Blink-182's 'Enema of the State.'
