Most Influential Toys of All Time
Earlier this week Time magazine asked toy historians what the most influential toys are of all time.
Before we go into some of the toys on the list, how exactly do you become a "toy historian"? Sounds like a fun job to me!
The top 5 most influential toys of all time are:
1. LEGO. It's the world's biggest toy company, and has stayed that way for more than 50 years across several generations of kids.
2. Barbie.
3. G.I. Joe.
4. The Nerf Bow and Arrow. When it launched in 1991, it showed Nerf could make more than Nerf balls . . . and they're still big today.
5. Chatty Cathy. She was the first talking doll.
Do you agree with the top 5? What was your favorite toy as a child?
You can check out the entire list of influential toys here!
