It's Mother's Day weekend 2011. A time to treasure, appreciate, or remember fondly the greatest women in our lifetimes. I'm fortunate that my Mom is still with us. She's one of those Moms who makes every birthday, anniversary, and holiday an 'event'. And on each occasion there are pictures. My Mom LOVES family photos. (all photos by Randy Jones)

I'm one of those people who doesn't particularly like to have his picture taken, but in retrospect, all of these family photos become priceless as time passes. My wife is a lot like me in this respect, but as we've gotten older, both of us have come to fully appreciate the memories evoked by the 'family album'. As we sort through mountains of past photos from my Mom's house, we are reminded of the countless blessed times we've spent together as a family.

I thought I would post just a few photos of my Mom doing what she enjoys most in life: spending time with family. She adopted my wife and brother in law from the moment she me them;  and both my wife Kathy, and said bro in law Craig consider her their second Mom in every way.

If your Mom is still with you, take a lot of pictures. Tell her how much you love and appreciate her. Show her by honoring her in a special way this weekend. And if your Mom has passed on, treasure the times you spent with her by sitting down with family and looking through the memories in photos, mementos, and personal items that made your Mom so special.
