In a twist of circumstances, Paul McCartney has signed with Decca Records, the label that rejected The Beatles in 1962.  At the time Decca told them that guitar groups were on the way out, and that they had no future in the music business.  They didn't make the same mistake twice!

This signing however is for McCartney's new ballet score 'Ocean's Kingdom', not for a typical Macca album release.  Paul tried his hand at classical music with the release of 'Standing Stone'  and 'Liverpool Oratorio' a few years back, and now has written the entire musical score for a ballet set to be released by Decca October 3rd in England. The ballet production itself will open in New York on September 22nd.

No word on whether Paul will stay with Decca for any future releases, but likely not.  His new album of standards will be released next year, recorded at Capitol Records studios, and his current reissues are on the Hear Music/Concord label.  (via music.msn.com)
