Music lost another stellar voice and soul earlier today with the death of Phoebe Snow. She had a defining hit in 1975 with the song 'Poetry Man'. Phoebe could not only sing - with a sweet tone and incredible range- but she was also an accomplished guitarist. Her songs could run from jazz to blues, with a voice that could deliver what any song demanded. She quit music almost completely in late 1975 to care for her daughter, who was born with brain damage.
