Rolling Stones Joined by Bruce Springsteen, Mick Taylor and Many More for Final 2012 Concert
Seemingly everyone with a valid record contract joined the Rolling Stones onstage last night ( Dec. 15) for the final concert of their 2012 mini-tour, including Bruce Springsteen, former Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, the Black Keys, Lady Gaga and several others.
The Newark, N.J.-based show, which was also broadcast live on Pay-Per-View, found Springsteen dueling with Mick Jagger during a spirited reading of 'Tumbling Dice,' Gaga taking the famous female vocal part on 'Gimme Shelter,' and Akron, Ohio's own Black Keys joining in to help tear through 'Who Do You Love?'
John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr. both appeared on a cover of Don Nix's 'Going Down,' Taylor once again joined his former bandmates for 'Midnight Rambler,' and the Choir of Trinity Wall Street helped sing 'You Can't Always Get What You Want.'
Jagger also touched on a subject weighing heavily on many people's minds this weekend when he dedicated the evening's performance of 'Wild Horses' to the victims and families of Friday's Newtown, Connecticut school massacre.
With their 50th anniversary celebration now apparently behind them, there are reports the Stones will be back with a larger-scale tour in 2013, possibly including an appearance at the Coachella Festival.
