There's no official announcement yet, but it's looking more and more likely that the Rolling Stones will tour this year. It's been rumored for weeks, but now we get news that the Stones have new merchandising deals in place. Those deals give a strong indication that the band will hit the road in 2012.

 

The Rolling Stones have inked deals with Google Music, Eagle Rock, and Bravado according to Variety.  The Eagle Rock deal is for multiple DVD releases, while Google will handle 'promotion and online distributions of "official bootlegs".  Bravado is firmed up for marketing Rolling Stones merchandise.

With all of these new agreements in place, you can almost bet money that we'll see the Rolling Stones in action for their momentous 50th anniversary in 2012.  Check out  the live video for 'Jumpin' Jack Flash':  (via Variety.com)
