Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood is a proud father again at the age of 68.

The BBC reports that Wood and his wife, theater producer Sally Wood, have welcomed the birth of twin girls they've named Gracie Jane and Alice Rose. According to a statement issued by the couple's publicist, the babies were born on May 30 "and all are doing brilliantly. The babies are perfect."

The new additions make six children for Wood but his first with Sally, whom he wed in 2012 after a six-month courtship. The twins' arrival comes shortly before his 69th birthday — a milestone that might raise eyebrows for some, but one which earlier reports insisted isn't a factor in the Wood household. "He still feels very young and fit," said a source after the pregnancy was announced. "Ever since marrying Sally, this had always been a possibility for them. They never ruled it out."

Gracie Jane and Alice Rose make their debut in the midst of a busy year for Wood, whose duties with the Stones in 2016 have included a Latin American tour that saw them performing in Cuba for the first time. The group is also reportedly readying the release of a new blues-themed LP for later in the year, snapping a 10-year drought between full-length studio albums of new material, and they're among the handful of rock heavyweights tapped to headline the star-studded Desert Trip festival in October.
