Sammy Hagar is ready to get his Rock & Roll Road Trip rolling again.

According to Hagar's official site, the second season of his AXS series is scheduled to begin March 5, with a special hour-long episode focused on this year's edition of his annual Acoustic-4-A-Cure concert. In addition to rehearsal footage featuring John Mayer and Joe Satriani, the show includes appearances from concert performers such as James Hetfield, Tommy Lee and Kris Kristofferson.

This season will include six episodes, and take viewers on a journey from San Francisco to Oklahoma, where Hagar will pal around with Toby Keith; Indiana, for a visit with John Mellencamp; Chicago, to meet Rick Nielsen; Saratoga, Calif., for a jam session with Billy Gibbons; and Maui, for some face time with Mick Fleetwood.

In addition to the variety of locations and guests, Hagar's second round of Rock & Roll Road Trip will include a Red Rocks show with his band the Circle, featuring longtime guitarist Vic Johnson alongside friends and frequent collaborators Michael Anthony and Jason Bonham. As Hagar told Ultimate Classic Rock last year, it's all about shedding his old image and moving into a new phase of his career.

"I want to just be myself. I want to shed my rock-star guy. I love it but I’m not a rock star anymore. I’m just not. I’m a singer, I’m a musician, I’m everything I’ve ever been but I just don’t get dressed up and go do the funny things," he laughed. "Stupid things."
