Sleep Announce More U.S. Tour Dates

It’s a busy time for Sleep guitarist Matt Pike, as the stoner rock band has added more tour dates to their 2018 schedule, while High on Fire, the metal band he fronts, will hit the road between Sleep's dates.

Sleep already announced a U.S. tour from March 31 to April 10, with European dates from May 15 to May 28. Now they’ve added 13 more U.S. shows, which take place from June 5 to Aug. 1. In the meantime, High on Fire tour Europe from April 27 to May 12 – leaving Pike with eight days off between trips.

High on Fire have been posting updates from studio sessions for the follow-up to 2015’s Luminiferous. While no details have yet been revealed, the band unveiled the project by saying, “Prepare for devastation.”

Last year, Pike confirmed that Sleep were also writing material for a new album. "Sleep's at this level where we can't deny the fact that we need to be playing shows and making another record, because it's been 20-something years and we did really good on the single we made," he told Loudwire, referring to the 2014 standalone release "The Clarity," which he said had given them a "good footing" for further writing.
