S’mores Dip – Shay’s Recipe of the Week
I tried a new recipe this weekend. It's one that I saw floating around Facebook called S'mores Dip. There's nothing like a real campfire s'mores but this is a pretty good substitute.
Ingredients:
- 12 oz. bag of chocolate chips
- 8-10 Reese's peanut butter cups (optional)
- Marshmallows (cut larger ones in half)
- Graham Crackers
- Skillet that can be placed in oven
First put your skillet, lightly oiled, into the oven at 450 degrees to heat up.
Pour in your chocolate chips and add your peanut butter cups. Note: I only used a few just to try for taste.
Top with marshmallows. If you use a larger marshmallow it's best to cut them in half and place around the top of the chocolate. Place back in oven at 450 for 5-7 minutes or until marshmallows are toasted.
**Caution** Let cool a bit once you remove from oven. The marshmallow will stick to your mouth and burn you....I know this from experience. It's going to smell and look so good you're going to want to dive right in, but this is not advisable!!!
This is a super easy and really tasty little treat for the family, friends or any gathering and you don't need a campfire to make it.
