The speed limit is changing along another stretch of the Winters Freeway in Abilene.  Approximately 3.5 miles, between Oil Belt Lane and Waldemar will increase from the current 60 miles per hour to 70.  The new signs will be going up soon, but until then motorists are reminded that the posted speed limit will be enforced.

If you're trying to visualize where that stretch of freeway lies, it is the southern part of the thoroughfare.  The 60 mile per hour stretch from Waldemar north to State street will be unchanged because of narrower lanes.

Installation of the new signs is expected to be underway this week, so watch for those workers along the freeway as you're shopping going into the Thanksgiving weekend.  (via ReporterNews.com)
