Student With Down Syndrome Scores Crucial Touchdown In His First Football Game [VIDEO]
When Patrick Myshrall scored a touchdown during a Massachusetts high school football game, a win for his team was already impossible. But the touchdown signaled a different sort of victory for Myshrall since he has Down Syndrome.
Despite his disability and the fact that he’s only five-foot-four and weighs just 125 pounds, the 17-year-old junior scored a 12-yard touchdown in the final moments of the game. Patrick is such a favorite around the school, even the opposing team joined in the cheers.
Myshrall joined the football team without his parents’ knowledge and, incredibly, had never played in a game before this one. Watch Patrick’s inspirational story below.
