Founded in Abilene, Taco Bueno Goes on ‘Undercover Boss’
Taco Bueno was recently named 'America's Favorite Mexican Food Restaurant' by Yahoo Finance. Now, the fast food chain is making headlines again by going on the popular TV show 'Undercover Boss'.
By the looks of the three videos promoting the show, it appears as though the company's president is not doing so 'Bueno' on the job. In the above and below video's, the "real" employees say Mr. Roper is far too slow for fast food.
In the third segment "employee Tim' schools the boss on his speed and enthusiasm. The Taco Bueno featuring President and CEO Mike Roper as the 'Undercover Boss' airs Friday night April 28th, 2017 on CBS.
Bueno was founded right here in Abilene, Texas in 1967. The first store was located several blocks from the radio station on South First street. Now another mom and pop restaurant is operating out of the original Bueno building.
