Texas is a land of wide open spaces with a vibrant culture. However, through the years, the Lone Star State has become a breeding ground for various myths and legends.

Some of these myths hold a kernel of truth, while others have grown into tall Texas tales. The Travel website brings up some Texas myths believed to be totally true. However, being a native Texan, I had my own list. See if you agree with any of these.

All Texans Ride Horses Everywhere

Contrary to what you might think, not every Texan rides a horse to work or school. Horses do hold a special place in Texas history, it is true. However modern transportation long ago replaced the need for using horses.
