Sitting at the top of the list is the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This is the one that stunned me. The metroplex isn't just popular with people. It seems to be a paradise for bedbugs, landing itself a spot at number 17 nationwide. So, when in DFW, you might want to double-check your hotel rooms or even your bed at home.

Not too far behind, Houston checks in at number 44 on the same list. It's a bit of a relief to be lower on the list, but it's still on there, which means Houston isn't entirely free from bedbugs.

Now, before you start panicking, remember that bedbugs are a problem that can be dealt with. Keeping your home clean, checking second-hand furniture before bringing it into your house, and using protective covers on mattresses can help keep these bugs at bay.

It seems like Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston are the Texas cities leading the charge in the bedbug brigade. But don't let the bedbugs bite, literally. With some effort and a bit of know-how, you can keep your home a bug-free zone.
