The Dead Daisies to Release ‘Make Some Noise’ Album

The supergroup Dead Daisies may have lost two of its members to their main jobs with Guns N' Roses, but they haven't stopped. Today, they announced that their third album, Make Some Noise, will be released on Aug. 5.

The band, a project of David Lowy and featuring singer John Corabi (Motley Crue), bassist Marco Mendoza and drummer Brian Tichy (both ex-Whitesnake), recruited another former Whitesnake member, guitarist Doug Aldrich to take the place of Richard Fortus. They spent February and March in Nashville working with Marti Frederiksen, best known for his work with Aerosmith, to create the 12 songs found on Make Some Noise. The record includes 10 originals and covers of the Who's "Join Together" and Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son." That’s why working with the Dead Daisies is so much fun, and that’s why the reaction is always phenomenal, no matter when and where this band turns up.”

“The Dead Daisies mean pure fun to me," Lowy added. "This band is first and foremost about our passion for this kind of music and about celebrating classic rock’n’roll. Because one thing is clear: if we have fun in the studio and live on stage, that spark is bound to ignite our audience.”

Beginning July 14, the Dead Daisies will spend three weeks playing clubs and festivals across Europe. Then, they will take over the opening slot for Kiss on their summer tour of the U.S. commencing Aug. 10 in Green Bay, Wisc. You can see all the dates here.
