Unless you're not from around these parts you know Abilene has been extremely hot. I mean, the sun nowadays will rip the hide right off of you. I remember thinking to myself back in May when it got hot it's not even June yet. Abilene has already broken temperature records and the summer months have barely started.

What's going on? Is this par for the course? I mean, I know it gets hot this time of year but it seems like it's really getting crazy. Is this normal? I decided to do some digging to find out the hottest temperatures in Abilene's history. What I found may possibly shock you. Here's the breakdown:

I don't know about you but 110 is plenty hot. Notice the consecutive days Abilene broke records in May. In...May. August certainly seems to be the month we've gotten the worst of it overall with the highest number of records.
