Only In Your State got me started. They listed out several weird laws in Texas but I was interested in the lesser-known laws. Actually I was taken aback by a couple of these. I had no clue they were illegal. In fact, some of these violated all the time. Are you guilty of doing any of these?

Selling your eye: In Texas, it is illegal to buy, sell, or even possess human organs, including eyes.

Selling your own homemade beer: Texas law prohibits the selling of homemade booze without proper permits.

Feeding garbage to pigs: Feeding swine with garbage is illegal in Texas. It can spread diseases.

Placing a "for sale" sign on your car: I see this law broken a lot. Placing a "for sale" sign on your vehicle parked in a public place is no bueno in Texas.

Carrying wire cutters: Packing wire cutters or any other tool to pick locks with the intent to commit theft is illegal in Texas.

Serving wine in teacups: It's illegal to serve wine in a teacup or any other improper container in Texas. I had no clue.

Selling Limburger cheese on Sunday: Here's another I had never heard. The sale of Limburger cheese is prohibited on Sundays in Texas.

Holding more than two bingo sessions in a week: Only two bingo sessions per week are allowed in Texas under the Bingo Enabling Act.

Owning a kangaroo without a permit: You actually need permits to own a kangaroo or other exotic animals as pets in Texas.

Misrepresenting butter: Texans are picky about their butter. Margarine sold in Texas must be distinctly marked and cannot be passed off as real butter.

Making offensive gestures at a funeral: I'm not too sure why you would, but it is illegal to make offensive gestures or cause a violent scene within 500 feet of a funeral in Texas.

Shooting Bigfoot: While it may seem like a fun urban legend, it is illegal to kill Bigfoot or any other mythical creature in Texas.
