We all pretty much know that right after Christmas, you can buy a Christmas tree and decorations, wrapping paper and all other Christmas goods at greatly reduced prices. However, I also learned from personal experience that there are other times in the year to get some pretty good deals too.

Most of us don't have a ton of extra money to waste right now. But if you're in the market for any of this stuff, now might be a good time to buy. Here are the seven things that I learned, that go on sale in March .

Televisions: TV manufacturers are getting ready to release their new models for the year. So, all of the previous year's models are going on sale or are on clearance. March is by no means the best month of the year to find TV deals it's the second-best month of the year to buy a TV. November is first.

Jewelry: Because of al the leftover inventory from Christmas and then Valentine's Day. Jewelry and department stores start selling their overstocked inventory by dropping their prices.

Winter Wear and Sports Gear: Didn't get that jacket or jersey for Christmas and the fact that the NFL is done and basketball is wrapping up. Plus, with warmer weather on the way sports gear like skis, snowboards, and outdoor winter weather wear get either discounted or put on clearance.

Frozen Foods: Winter is almost over and the stockpiling of food in the freezer starts slowing down. Besides, March is also National Frozen Foods Month, most grocery stores offer 'buy one get one' deals and or greatly reduced prices on frozen goods. The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association also partners with Coupons.com to offer even more discounts.

Mattresses: It's the manufacturers time of year to roll out the 'new and improved' models of sleeping platforms. The new models are being delivered and stores need to make room by getting rid of last year's inventory.

BBQ Grills & Smokers: Because they will be in high demand in about three months and we still have cooler days ahead, most retailers discount their outdoor cooking gear to make room for newer inventory. So, take advantage of current pricing before prices go up for summer. They usually don't go back down until after Labor Day weekend.

Tents and Camping Gear: We are all making plans for spring and summer vacations and will be utilizing all outdoor camping gear. Thus, just like the Bedding and TV manufacturers the 'Camping Gear Manufacturers' are introducing the newest models. Thus, tents that were all the rave a year ago are now 'last years models' and are no longer in high demand as is the new gear.

It's no hidden secret that I own several tents and tons of camping gear. Because about ten years ago, I made a remarkable discovery, that all the camping gear I asked for, for Christmas and didn't get, goes on sale at ridiculous prices when the new models are being released.

One year, I found a 'big name-brand' eight person tent that I really, really wanted bad, but I didn't have $350 dollars to buy it. I would always go by and look at it in the store and say to the tent "one day we'll be together". Then one day early in March I went by and it had a 'clearance price' of $99 dollars. I asked the department manager if there was a mistake. He said "that's last years model and it's replacement will go up when we sell the rest of these."

Needless to say I discovered that there are certain times of the year to buy certain things. It's also, kind of like when all the new model cars start coming out in September. So, if you're in need of something that's listed above, you better start shopping now.
