Tom Petty And Wife Dana Honored For Charity Work

Tom Petty and his wife Dana will be honored on May 9th for their charitable work to benefit the homeless.

The honor will be in the form of the Golden Heart Award, presented by the L.A. organization  Midnight Mission.

Midnight Mission assists in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, as well as transitional programs for homeless men, women, and children in the Los Angeles area.

The Pettys have been supporters of the cause for several years, and Tom Petty even did a benefit concert to help out the organization in 2008.
