Two California Grannies Busted For Marijuana Operation

Two elderly women in San Bruno, California have been arrested for a major marijuana growing operation.  And they might not have been caught if not for a burglary call to police made by the neighbors.

Police were called to the home and when they checked out the residence they discovered over 800 marijuana plants inside.  On top of that, the grannies had tapped into the electrical lines and bypassed their power meter!

72-year old Aleen Lam and 65-year old Virginia Chan Pon were both arrested on site.  But the story doesn't end there.  Remember that burglary call?  When the cops spotted a car matching the description nearby, they found two men inside who also had a large amount of cash and marijuana growing equipment.

They were arrested too, and all four suspects are in jail on $100,000 bond each.  All have pleaded not guilty to the numerous charges. There's got to be more to this story, don't you think??   (via the420times.com)
