Walmart Coffee Rivals Starbucks?

Consumer Reports has released results of a taste test that says Walmart coffee rivals Starbucks in taste, and at about half the price. We love our coffee in America. And according to the recent survey, we also like it to be 'gourmet' coffee. But the taste test doesn't lie. Results indicate that Walmart coffee is as good as Starbucks, and it's better than major brands Maxwell House and Folger's!

In another blog from Time Magazine, they compared prices of coffee and found that Walmart's 100% Colombian ground coffee was selling at $3.88 for a 12-ounce bag, compared to Starbucks price of $8.88. And they said the taste was the same.

I currently don't buy either brand, but at $3.88, I'm going to try a bag and see how it brews up. It's a low risk proposition at that price. I'm currently paying about 7 bucks for a 12-ounce bag of coffee. Gotta have that morning caffeine. (via Money.MSN.com)
