COMING TO POTOSI LIVE JULY 14TH - JULY 17TH
Get ready to hear some awesome live entertainment while enjoying some great meals at Potosi Live (located at 897 FM 1750 south of Abilene). Wednesday, July 14th it's Hill Brothers, Thursday, July 15th  it's Blan Scott, Friday, July 16th it's Treadwater, and Saturday, July 17th it's Caleb Young Band Live. While most shows are free, some are not, check in by calling Potosi Live at 325-529-3111.

DACHSHUND RACES AND RESCUED DOG REUNION IS JULY 15TH
The 'Annual Dachshund Races and Rescued Dogs Reunion' is set to run Thursday, July 15th at Festival Gardens across from the Abilene Zoo. The gates open at 4 pm and the reunion begins at 6:30 pm and the races start promptly at 7 pm. The event is free and benefits Rescue the Animals SPCA. Register online at RescueTheAnimals.org or call 325-695-SPCA.

NEXT ON THE PARAMOUNT'S FAMILY FILM SERIES IS "SING" JULY 18TH
The Paramount Theatre continues with its themed classics Summer Family Film Series featuring the 2016 animated comedy musical "Sing". Enjoy over 60 popular hit songs and stars the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, and many more. GARAGEBAND WOODSTOCK 11 IS SATURDAY JULY 24TH
Get ready to step back in time with Garageband Woodstock. The event that takes you back in time to the '60s and '70s with live music, will benefit the nonprofit  New Horizons. Tickets are just $25 in advance and $30 at the door you can buy them online at GaragebandWoodstock.com.

GENE WATSON IS COMING TO THE  PARAMOUNT LIVE JULY 30TH
Get ready to hear all your Gene Watson favorites when he appears live at the Paramount Theatre on Friday, July 3oth at 7 PM. Gene's been performing for the last 50 years so don't miss your chance to see Watson live at the Paramount Theatre at 352 Cypress Street. For tickets contact the Paramount Theatre.

PARAMOUNT PRESENTS "CABARET UNDER THE STARS" AUGUST 5TH - 8TH
The Paramount Theatre is proud to present the great music of Berlin, Gershwin and Porter performed by our very own Abilene and Big Country talent. SECOND CHANCE COWBOY CHURCH HOSTS SUMMER PLAYDAY August 14TH
Get ready for some summer riding fun and competition at the Second Chance Cowboy Church in Clyde, America. The church is hosting a Summer Playday on Saturday, August 14th in Clyde. The events will include Poles, Barrels, and Flags. The cost is $5 per event as this is a Church fundraiser.

FOOD MANAGERS CERTIFICATION TRAINING IS AUGUST 16TH & 17TH
Learn about the major causes of foodborne illness and how to prevent them, increase your food safety knowledge, foodborne illnesses and how they are caused, food safety hazards, and sanitation regulations. Then take the certification exam, and become a state 'Certified Food Manager' from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extention Services in Abilene.
