The world's largest emerald is being auctioned at the end of this month in Canada.  The cut stone is about the size of a watermelon and weighs over 25 pounds!  Not sure what you do with a gem that size.  It definitely can't be worn on a necklace.

The 57,500 carat 'Teodora' emerald has been appraised at $1.15 million, but at auction on January 28th, it could fetch a lot more than that.  It's hard to imagine any gem stone this big until you see it compared with other objects.  Check out the video below:  (via UPI.com)
