I have truly enjoyed my time at KOOL-FM here in Abilene, Texas. I have made some good friends, but I have had to make a decision. Continue working... or just stay in the tropics on the island of St. Lucia and start a business or two, or lay on the beach and drink rum punch. These are the details...

First, I've made some pretty good friends here in the islands while participating with the Sandals Resorts Luxury Included® Vacation promotions. They like the way I talk, I like the way they talk and we have hit off a pretty good friendship. So, I am fairly confident that I can get something going with my first venture here... they are awesome tours, just not very long.

I love the tropics and I don't have a lot of money. So, the Caribbean is perfect for me, because there are a lot of people without a lot of money, and I fit right in.

I am drawn to the beach, for me it is one of the best places to be and I love the Caribbean, for the soft sand beaches, the turquoise waters, the unspoiled beauty of the islands and the people. You may have heard me say before, "If you see me hiking in the mountains, it's because I am walking away from the plane crash" and I mean that. I am not putting down people drawn to mountains, I just prefer the tropics.

Now here's the thing. I still have to make money right? So, I also have a thing going on the other side of the island, but I have a partner, and I am not sure how it's going to work out... we seem to have a difference of opinion on the brand and meaning of "Dream Tours"... I think it means to take people on cool excursions, he thinks it means "all day naps"...

With that in mind, I hope we can keep working out something with the radio station so I can keep getting some sort of money. I realize it will mean a big pay cut... 5% maybe even 6%... we can talk about those details on the phone. I can still write some blog posts for the site, or an occasional broadcast as I still have not sent back your broadcast equipment... (that's another story). Maybe even, a place for you to stay when you come visit...wink, wink... that should be worth some sort of paycheck, actually, if we can just make the checks out to "cash"... that would be great.

Now keep in mind, this may not last past next May or June, and I may be back begging for a job... on-air, sales, or janitorial... who know's?  In the meantime, seriously, if y'all ever get down south... South Caribbean that is, come see me. Not completely sure of the living arrangements yet, but I have a few hammocks you can use.
