Brian Wilson has finally commented on the eminent release of the Beach Boys' 'Smile Sessions'.  The great 'lost' Beach Boys album will finally see the light of day on November 1st, and Brian told 'Jazzwax' that he thinks the fans are finally ready, and that now is the time: "Because people who were young then have grown older. Now they miss their youth. Their minds have grown musically, too. Now they can understand the music we made. A lot of people tell me that when they hear Smile, they feel like a kid again."

Brian Wilson released his solo version of 'Smile' in 2004, and that version is the closest fans had ever been to the original concept as Brian envisioned.  Now with the release of 'Smile Sessions', the original songs featuring the Beach Boys will finally be heard in sequence and fully produced.  'Smile Sessions' will also include rare outtakes and demos.  The deluxe version features two vinyl LPs, two picture sleeve 45s, and a 60-page hardcover book, along with multiple CDs and DVDs.  Look for it in just over two weeks on November 1st.  The video below depicts a virtual 'unboxing' of that deluxe edition, priced at around $169 and available for preorder right now.  (via Jazzwax.com)
